Meet Steve Ifantis
I’m Steve Ifantis, a filmmaker and technical media professional specializing in lighting design, sound engineering, projection, broadcast production, and technical direction. I enjoy bringing creative ideas to life by combining storytelling with the technical systems that make productions possible.
Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film & Media Arts at the University of Tampa, I’ve had the opportunity to work across narrative films, live broadcasts, theatrical productions, and special events. Whether I’m designing lighting, mixing production sound, operating projection systems, or leading technical operations, I enjoy solving problems and helping productions run smoothly from planning through execution.

My professional experience includes leadership and technical roles with the University of Tampa, WUTT Spartan Radio, film productions, and live events.

Through these experiences I’ve learned to manage production teams, operate industry-standard technology, coordinate live events, and support filmmakers from pre-production through final delivery.
My Philosophy
I believe the strongest productions happen when creativity and technology work together. Every successful project depends on careful planning, reliable systems, and a team committed to excellence. My goal is to create an environment where directors, producers, and creative teams can focus on telling great stories while I ensure the technical side runs seamlessly.
Beyond Production
Outside of production, I’m passionate about sports broadcasting, emerging production technologies, projection mapping, and experimental filmmaking. I enjoy learning new workflows, mentoring fellow students, and continuously expanding my technical skill set to better support the productions I work on.
